Silicon Alley Entreprenure
Links |
A great place for entrepreneures and
ceo's of startups to meet other ceo's and network. They have weekly
and monthly meetings focused bringing startups, vendors and service
providers together. They play match maker! |
Detailed Silicon Alley news and
events. |
I recommend these groups as places
to practice your pitch and build relationships but not as a place
that you will receive much help since they are focused on BIG
business.
NYVG is touted as the
world's largest monthly forum for venture investors and managers of
fast growing companies. They are a bit formal
for entrepreneurs and mostly are focused on companies
in the second or later stage. The NYVG,
NYCR and NYIF are great
places to network with monthly meetings
that cost about $100.
NYCR is a prominent
monthly forum that brings together 150-250 leaders of the
middle-market mergers & buyouts community. Professionals
involved with middle-market corporate mergers, buyouts,
restructurings, LBOs, consolidations, recapitalizations,
divestitures, and roll-ups meet to develop business, network, build
relationships and hear top industry leaders speak on current
issues.
NYIF is where
financiers and senior managers of Internet, new media and technology
companies meet monthly to develop business, share ideas, build
relationships and hear from top industry speakers.
